Building New, Building Better - Three Speakers from the 2020 Humanities Roundtable

This short excerpt featured Michelle Urberg, formerly of Maverick Publishing Specialists, Dave Tell, of the University of Kansas, and Susan Doerr, of the University of Minnesota Press, during the 2020 Humanities Roundtable: Building Diversity, Building Accessibility, Building Better. The speakers touched on the following:  Are there metadata elements/fields unique to the humanities that should be identified and implemented for enhanced discoverability?  What are the unique requirements of research in the digital humanities?  Are there existing standards associated with information retrieval that might be adapted to better support the needs of those working in the digital humanities?
