Katharina Ruckstuhl

I am an Associate Dean Māori and Senior Research Fellow at the Otago Business School, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. My role in the Business School focuses on strategic empowerment of Māori students and staff with a particular focus on entrepreneurship.  I am actively involved with my tribal group of Ngāi Tahu.I co-leads the “Building New Zealand’s Innovation” social science research of New Zealand’s National Science Challenge, Science for Technological Innovation and am the Vision Mātauranga (Māori knowledge) leader. I am is a Board Member of ORCID, an advisor to the ENRICH co-ordination hub [Equity for Indigenous Research and Innovation], and on the IEEE working party for the provenance of Indigenous people’s data. I have published in the areas of: Māori language; resource extraction in Māori territories; Māori entrepreneurship in SMEs; Indigenous science and technology; and Indigenous Knowledge.
