Miranda Barnes

Miranda Barnes is currently the Research Associate in Archiving & Preserving Open Access Books at Loughborough University, working on the COPIM (Community-led Open Publication Infrastructures for Monographs) Project. Her position is in support of Work Package 7, examining key challenges associated with archiving open access research monographs, particularly complex digital monographs with additional components. Miranda previously served as Research Publications Librarian at Bath Spa University from 2018-2021, creating open access portfolios of creative practice research for submission to REF2021 across five different Units of Assessment. She is also a practising poet and academic in Creative Writing.  

Miranda earned her PhD at Bath Spa University in 2017. She also holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Spalding University, and a BFA from the University of Evansville.
